Starting at Brevity in a Business Development Coordinator role, Rebecca’s skills have quickly enabled her to grow her role and contribute to the team in a range of ways. Now responsible for ‘inbound sales’ her daily work encompasses the preparation of client briefs as well as contributing to project coordination.

Siamak Mosaferi grew up along the Persian Gulf of Iran and as a result, loves anything to do with the ocean. Arriving in New Zealand with his wife just over a decade ago, he had limited English and almost no contacts. He found himself as a lifeguard at many of Auckland’s most well known pools - Parnell Baths being his favourite.

As a recent graduate, Devante has thrown himself into his new role as a Brevity Interiors Engineer. Devante loves the fast paced, accelerated learning environment at Brevity.

Michael is from the US. During his engineering degree he took a holiday to NZ, found himself in a Covid lockdown and is still here.

The concept of a shorter work week has been gaining momentum in recent years, with companies recognising the potential to enhance employee satisfaction, boost productivity, and reduce burnout. Brevity has taken this idea a step further by integrating a unique philanthropic component into our work schedule. We want to go beyond productive work, to make it purposeful as well.

Chris says he loves using what he learnt in his engineering studies. He loves that each day is never the same. There are new programmes to learn, new projects to do and lots to learn from others in the organisation.

As a child, Irina loved playing with cars and building things with her dad. This love of creating and building, along with a highly analytical mind made engineering the perfect fit - and an easy choice for her degree in mechanical engineering. 

The Wonder Project gives kids a taste of how science is used in the real world. Devante and Chris delivered the rocket building module children at Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate.

Luckily for Harley, when he began in engineering there was a lot more to it than he had first imagined. He knew about construction, but was excited to find there were plenty of other specialist areas to study.  He chose mechatronics because he was keen on technology and building robots sounded like a pretty cool way to spend time. He also liked the idea of being one of the first Samoan mechatronics engineers.

Arriving at Brevity, Phoenix says it was the people who stood out. Everyone was young and there seemed to be no hierarchy. It didn’t matter if you were the boss or the newbie, people sat anywhere and everyone’s opinions were equally respected. 

Following his PhD, Dan was offered a job at Brevity. He says “I instantly liked the way they did things. Everyone was open to sharing information, helping each other and collaborating.” He also liked the progressive nature of the organisation.
